DDAC (Didecyl Dimethyl Ammonium Chloride) is a high-performance quaternary ammonium compound (quat) offered by Innova Corporate as an 80% active concentrate, specifically for Agra's industrial sanitization and algaecide applications. DDAC is a dialkyl quat with two decyl (C10) chains, giving it stronger biocidal activity than conventional benzalkonium chloride (BKC), particularly against fungi and biofilms. For Agra's cooling towers – which face severe algal growth during monsoon humidity – DDAC provides long-lasting control at 2-5 ppm continuous or 10-20 ppm shock dose. It also acts as a slime dispersant by breaking down EPS matrix. For Agra's leather tanneries, DDAC is used as a fungicide for wet-blue leather storage (0.1-0.3% of hide weight) to prevent mold damage during rainy season.
