Homopolymer Polymaleic Acid (PMA) from Innova Corporate is a high-performance scale inhibitor and dispersant for Agra's high-temperature water systems (boilers, evaporators, geothermal) and cooling towers where calcium carbonate and calcium sulfate scale are problematic. PMA has a unique combination of carboxyl and maleic groups, providing excellent thermal stability (up to 150°C) and tolerance to high calcium (up to 10,000 ppm). Unlike polyacrylates, PMA does not precipitate with calcium at high hardness. For Agra's low-to-medium pressure boilers (textile, tannery, hotel) using hard make-up water, PMA is added at 5-20 ppm to prevent scale even at high cycles of concentration. It also acts as a dispersant for iron and silica. For cooling towers operating at high pH (8.5-9.0) and high hardness (Yamuna water), PMA is more effective than standard polyacrylates. The product is supplied as a 50% active liquid (light yellow) or powder form. For reverse osmosis antiscalant blends, PMA is a key component for high-silica and high-iron applications. For Agra's marble processing units (recirculating water with high CaCO₃ supersaturation), PMA prevents scaling on pumps and nozzles. Dosage: 2-10 ppm for threshold inhibition. It is biodegradable (35% in 28 days) and non-toxic. Compatible with all common biocides except strong oxidizers at high concentration. Available in 200L drums, 25L carboys. We provide on-site performance testing using a heated scale loop for Agra's large customers. Shelf life: 24 months.
