Mill Sanitation Di-Thio Carbamate Based biocide from Innova Corporate is used for sugar mills, paper mills, and starch plants – though Agra has limited sugar mills (nearby areas like Firozabad), this product is relevant for sugar storage and sweets manufacturing where microbial contamination causes spoilage. The active ingredient is sodium dimethyl dithiocarbamate (SDDC) or disodium ethylene bis dithiocarbamate (DEDTC), which is effective against bacteria, fungi, and yeast in sugar syrups, molasses, and starch slurries. For Agra's sweets manufacturers (Petha, gajak) who use large quantities of sugar syrup, adding 10-50 ppm of this biocide to storage tanks prevents fermentation and mold growth, extending shelf life. For molasses storage (if any feed stock for ethanol), it prevents gas formation (CO₂) from microbial activity. For paper mills (none in Agra directly, but possible), it controls slime. The product is food-grade (FDA approved for indirect food contact) at low levels. It is supplied as a clear to pale yellow liquid (40% active) or water-soluble powder. It is non-foaming and stable over pH 6-10. For Agra's sugar syrup clarification, it is sometimes used as a preservative after carbonation. Dosage guidelines: 5-25 ppm for syrup storage tanks. Available in 25L, 200L drums. We provide on-site yeast and mold testing (petrifilm) to verify efficacy. For bioethanol plants (near Agra), this biocide controls bacterial contamination in fermentation. Shelf life: 18 months.
