Benzalkonium Chloride 50% (BKC 50) is a broad-spectrum quaternary ammonium biocide for Ahmedabad's cooling towers, air washers, and water storage. Effective against bacteria, algae, fungi – especially during monsoon (July-September). For textile processing units, BKC 50 controls slime in jet dyeing machines. For pharmaceutical cleanrooms, it disinfects floors and equipment (200-400 ppm). For dairy plants (Amul, Sabarmati), it sanitizes milk storage tanks. Synergistic with glutaraldehyde and isothiazolinone. Incompatible with anionic polymers – separate feed. For hotels and banquet halls, it's used as swimming pool algaecide. Residual activity 3-5 days. Available in 25L, 200L drums. Food-grade version (NSF) available for food processing.
