Di-Chlorophenate based biocides (sodium 2,4-dichlorophenate, also known as sodium dichlorophenate) are offered by Innova Corporate for Ahmedabad's industrial preservation and wood treatment sectors. This biocide is highly effective against fungi, mold, yeasts, and some bacteria – especially problematic during Ahmedabad's humid monsoon (July-September, 70-85% relative humidity). The primary applications in Ahmedabad include: textile sizing and finishing – preventing mildew on stored fabrics, yarns, and finished goods in warehouses (common in Narol, Odhav, and Kalupur areas); water-based paints and coatings – in-can preservation for small paint manufacturers serving Ahmedabad's construction market; leather processing (though tanneries are more concentrated in Bhavnagar, some leather units exist in Ahmedabad's outskirts); and ceramic/tile industry – where recirculating cooling water in ball mills and spray dryers develops fungal slime that clogs nozzles and affects product quality. The biocide works by uncoupling oxidative phosphorylation in microbial cells and disrupting cell membrane integrity. It shows good efficacy over pH 4-9 and is compatible with non-ionic surfactants and most antiscalants (except at very high concentrations). For cooling towers (e.g., in Ahmedabad's pharma and chemical plants), a shock dose of 100-200 ppm every 5-7 days effectively controls fungal mats that would otherwise clog fill media and reduce heat transfer. For paper recycling units (small-scale units in Ahmedabad), dichlorophenate prevents fungal growth on stored waste paper and finished board. Environmental note: dichlorophenate has moderate acute toxicity to fish and aquatic invertebrates. Therefore, for discharges into Ahmedabad's CETPs or the Sabarmati river, we recommend neutralization and pH adjustment before disposal (it degrades faster at neutral to slightly alkaline pH). Available as a clear to pale yellow liquid (40-50% active) in 25L, 200L drums, and also as a powder (80-90% active) for dry blending. Shelf life: 24 months in sealed containers. For wood treatment (e.g., utility poles, fencing, and pallets used in Ahmedabad's logistics sector), we supply a higher concentration (95% powder) that is dissolved in water or oil-based carriers. Technical support includes fungal resistance testing (petri dish method) for formulation development.
Dosage in cooling water treatment programs is 50 to 75 ppm for the effective control of biocidal activity. For pulp and paper mills 10 ppm dosage is recommended.
INNOVA BCD 425 should be fed as received and not diluted with water or mixed with any chemical feed solution. The chemical should be added to cooling tower basin (or any other point which provides uniform mixing) addition should be made through metering pump to minimise handling.

The best indication of the successful application of INNOVA BCD 425 is visual inspection of tower surfaces or monitoring changes in heat transfer on metal surface of process equipment.
Use of on-site bacterial counts or microscopic examination provide relative indicators of system cleanliness and biological control. If bacteria counts are used, Note that counts may be high immediately after biocide addition. Counts will be lower as control is achieved.
INNOVA BCD 425 is available in 25Kgs, 50Kgs & 200 Kgs.
