Deposit Controller 277 is a high-performance scale and deposit inhibitor from Innova Corporate formulated with a high molecular weight polyacrylic acid (PAA) and a maleic-acrylic copolymer (MA/AA), designed for Ahmedabad's cooling systems operating under extreme hardness and high pH conditions. This product is particularly suitable for once-through cooling systems (where water is used once and discharged) which still exist in some of Ahmedabad's older industries – especially textile processing units in Odhav and Narol that use Narmada canal water for cooling and then discharge to CETP. In once-through systems, the water has very short contact time (seconds to minutes), so a fast-acting threshold inhibitor is required. Deposit Controller 277 works by crystal distortion and chelation – it interferes with calcium carbonate and calcium sulfate crystal growth at the nucleation stage, preventing them from adhering to surfaces. It is effective at very low dosages (2-5 ppm), making it economical for high-flow applications. For Ahmedabad's marble and stone cutting units (a small but significant cluster on the outskirts), which use large volumes of water for cooling diamond-tipped saw blades and polishing heads, this product prevents calcium sulfate and calcium carbonate scale on blades and nozzles, extending blade life by 40% and reducing water consumption.
