Dispersing Agent 45 is a medium-molecular-weight polyacrylate (MW ~8000 Da) from Innova Corporate, optimized for dispersion of high concentrations of suspended solids in Ahmedabad's industrial effluents, cooling water, and mineral processing circuits. This product has a higher molecular weight than Dispersing Agent 35, providing enhanced bridging and steric stabilization for fine particles like clay, silt, precipitated metal hydroxides (iron, aluminum), and marble dust. For Ahmedabad's marble and stone processing units (located on the outskirts near the Sabarmati and along the Gandhinagar road), which generate fine marble slurry (particle size 1-50 µm, CaCO₃ content >90%), Dispersing Agent 45 keeps the slurry suspended in recirculating water, preventing rapid sedimentation that clogs pumps, pipes, and settling tanks. This allows higher water recycling rates (up to 90% recycle), reducing fresh water consumption – critical in water-scarce Ahmedabad. For textile effluent (especially from cotton processing), it disperses color bodies, flocculated dyes, and cellulosic fines to prevent redeposition in the treatment system. For cooling towers that operate on Sabarmati river water during monsoon (when turbidity can reach 100-300 NTU), Dispersing Agent 45 prevents mud balls and sludge accumulation on fill media and in the basin, ensuring uniform water distribution and heat transfer. It also acts as a threshold scale inhibitor for calcium carbonate, but its primary role is dispersion. The product is thermally stable to 100°C and works in pH 4-10. For reverse osmosis feed (pretreatment), Dispersing Agent 45 helps prevent colloidal fouling – it reduces the Silt Density Index (SDI) of the feed water, extending RO membrane life. Dosage: 5-30 ppm as product. Available as a 45% active liquid (viscosity ~500 cP). It is anionic and incompatible with cationic coagulants (should not be mixed directly; add at different points). For Ahmedabad's tanneries (though fewer, some finishing units), it disperses lime and sulfide flocs in the beamhouse waste, improving settling in primary clarifiers. We supply lab testing for optimal dosage via jar test – we can simulate your wastewater and determine the minimum effective concentration. Pack sizes: 200L drums, 1000L IBCs. The product is biodegradable (35% in 28 days) – not readily biodegradable but acceptable for discharge to CETP after treatment. Shelf life: 24 months.
