Dispersing Agent 55 is a sulfonated polyacrylate copolymer (AA/AMPS – acrylic acid/acrylamido methyl propane sulfonic acid) with a molecular weight of ~15,000 Da, offered by Innova Corporate for Ahmedabad's demanding applications requiring both scale inhibition and dispersion of iron, clay, and biological debris in high-hardness, high-pH, and high-temperature conditions. The AMPS functional group provides superior stability in the presence of high calcium (up to 10,000 ppm), high pH (up to 9.5), and high temperature (up to 120°C). This product is particularly effective for boiler water treatment in Ahmedabad's textile and pharmaceutical industries where feed water hardness can vary (softened water with occasional hardness leakage) and steam purity is critical (to prevent carryover and fabric spots). It disperses magnetite (Fe₃O₄) particles in high-pressure boilers, preventing under-deposit corrosion and allowing cleaner blowdown. In cooling towers using phosphate-based corrosion inhibitors, Dispersing Agent 55 prevents calcium phosphate scale (Ca₃(PO₄)₂), which is notoriously hard to remove. It also disperses zinc phosphate scale if zinc is used as a corrosion inhibitor. For Ahmedabad's textile processing, it is used in peroxide bleaching baths to prevent redeposition of removed impurities (waxes, pectins) onto fabric, improving whiteness. For reverse osmosis antiscalant formulations (especially for high-silica or high-iron feeds), this copolymer is a key component – it prevents colloidal fouling and silica polymerization. Dosage: 2-15 ppm for scale inhibition, 10-50 ppm for dispersion. It is compatible with all common cooling water chemicals except strong oxidizers at high concentration (e.g., high residual chlorine >1 ppm may degrade the polymer over time). Available as a 35-40% active liquid, free-flowing, pale yellow. The product also exhibits some biocidal synergy with isothiazolones – combined use improves biofilm control. For Ahmedabad's paper recycling units (small-scale), Dispersing Agent 55 is used in the de-inking process to disperse ink particles, allowing their removal by flotation or washing. We provide pilot testing for large customers (e.g., a 10-day trial on a side-stream to measure scale inhibition efficiency). Pack sizes: 200L drums, 1000L IBCs. For Ahmedabad's hotel laundries (high-volume operations), Dispersing Agent 55 is used as an anti-redeposition agent in heavy-duty detergents to keep soils from re-settling on linens. Technical data sheet includes molecular weight distribution, solid content, pH (2-4 for acid form, 6-8 for sodium salt), and viscosity.
The product should be stored indoors in the original unopened and undamaged containers in a dry place & observe the following conditions during storage and handle.
