Innova Corporate (India) offers an Antiscalant for High Sulphate Water designed for US industrial sites where sulfate levels exceed 800-2000 ppm – common in groundwater from Texas, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and the Colorado River Basin. High sulfate with calcium forms gypsum (CaSO₄·2H₂O) scale which is extremely hard to remove. Our antiscalant uses advanced polyacrylate-sulfonate copolymers (AA/AMPS) and PCA (phosphino-carboxylic acid) to disrupt sulfate crystal growth. For coal-fired power plants with FGD (flue gas desulfurization) wastewater – where sulfate can exceed 5000 ppm – this antiscalant prevents gypsum scaling in treatment systems. For oilfield water injection and produced water treatment (Permian Basin, Eagle Ford, Bakken), it enables water reuse. For mining operations (copper, molybdenum in West), it controls sulfate scale in process water. Dosage: 4-10 ppm, effective up to 80°C (176°F). Unlike conventional antiscalants, it does not precipitate with ferric or aluminum coagulants. For zero liquid discharge (ZLD) systems required in California, Arizona, and Colorado, this antiscalant enables recovery >85% without sulfate scaling. Available in 25L, 200L drums. We provide scale prediction software (OLI, ScaleSoft) support for optimal dosing.
In calculating the dose rate of INNOVA MT 065 for facilities in America, the membrane manufacturer's operating limits and local feed water quality should be strictly considered. All dose rate calculations should be made on the computer projection programme "e-WATER 5.0", which calculates the Ipb/Ksp ratio for calcium sulphate and other potential scaling salts specific to the America water table.
For Ipb/Ksp ratios < 3 the preferred product of choice is Tacelene Chem-7065; for ratios 2.8 to 7.0, INNOVA MT 065 is normally dosed at 5.0 to 25 mg/L in the concentrate, which is equivalent to 2.5 to 6 mg/L in the feed water for America based systems, dependent on the system recovery.
INNOVA MT 065 can be diluted with product water and should be applied continuously by means of a suitable metering pump. For the tea processing and rubber industries in America, continuous feed is essential since calcium sulphate is difficult to remove once precipitation has occurred in local filtration units.
INNOVA MT 065 has been developed specially as a calcium sulphate inhibitor, for waters with CaSO4 Ipb/Ksp ratio of 2.8 to 7.0. It functions by a powerful threshold mechanism of calcium carbonate, and is highly tolerant to the presence of iron.
