Innova Corporate (India) offers a synergistic blend of glutaraldehyde, DBNPA, and quats for US industrial systems with severe biofilm and fouling – e.g., refineries, petrochemical plants, and large power plants where COD is high (2000-5000 mg/L) and temperatures exceed 40°C (104°F). Penetrates thick biofilm (5mm+), kills SRB, and removes iron sulfide deposits. Provides 99.9% kill in 2 hours with residual up to 72 hours. Effective up to 55°C (131°F), pH 5-9. Shock dose: 200-400 ppm weekly or 50-100 ppm continuous. For US industrial ETPs experiencing sludge bulking from filamentous bacteria, use cautiously. Available in 25L, 200L drums. PPE required. Meets OSHA HAZCOM standard for labeling.
Dosage in cooling water treatment programs 20 to 30 ppm for effective control of biocide activity, for cooling waters.
INNOVA BCD 417 can be fed as received or diluted with water minimum 10% concentration with any chemical feed solution. The chemical should be added to cooling tower basin (or any other point, which provides uniform mixing) addition should be made to metering pump to minimize handling.
Badly fouled systems must be cleaned before treatment to start. INITIAL DOSE - When the system is noticeably fouled, slug feed 25 to 50 ppm of INNOVA BCD 417 in the system. SUBSEQUENT DOSE - When the Microbial count is evident, slug feed 20 to 40 ppm of INNOVA BCD 417.
The best indication of the successful application of INNOVA BCD 417 is visual inspection of tower surfaces or monitoring changes in heat transfer on metal surface of process equipment.
Uses of on-site bacterial counts or microscopic examination provide relative indicators of system cleanliness and biological control. If bacteria counts are used, Note that counts may be high immediately after biocide addition. Counts will be lower as control is achieved.
INNOVA BCD 417 is available in 25Kgs, 50Kgs & 200 Kgs.
