This product works by forming insoluble complexes with reactive, acid, direct, and vat dyes at low dosages (30-100 ppm) over pH 5-11. It produces compact, non-leachable sludge (30% less volume than alum). For US textile CETPs and ZLD systems (increasing in California and Texas), this chemical is essential before RO membranes to prevent dye fouling. It also removes chrome dyes from leather finishing.
