Innova Corporate (India) offers an Antiscalant for High Sulphate Water designed for Assam's industrial sites where groundwater or certain surface water sources contain elevated sulfate levels (300-800 ppm). In areas near oil fields (Digboi, Nazira, Lakwa) and some industrial zones, sulfate can be high due to natural gypsum or industrial discharge. High sulfate combined with calcium (100-250 ppm) leads to gypsum (CaSO₄·2H₂O) scale which is extremely hard to remove. Our antiscalant uses advanced polyacrylate-sulfonate copolymers (AA/AMPS) and PCA (phosphino-carboxylic acid) technology to disrupt sulfate crystal nucleation and growth. For Assam's oil refineries (cooling towers and RO systems) and paper mills, this product prevents scale even at 120% supersaturation of CaSO₄. For tea gardens using groundwater with high sulfate, it ensures uninterrupted operation of boilers and heat exchangers. Dosage: 4-10 ppm, effective up to 80°C (176°F). Unlike conventional antiscalants, our formulation does not precipitate with ferric or aluminum coagulants commonly used in effluent treatment. It also disperses clay and silt from Brahmaputra water during monsoon. For zero liquid discharge (ZLD) systems in refineries, this antiscalant enables recovery ratios >85% without sulfate scaling. Available in 25L, 200L drums. We provide on-site scale prediction using OLI or ScaleSoft software for optimal dosing. Compatible with all common biocides and corrosion inhibitors. For remote tea gardens, we offer simple dosing kits and training.
In calculating the dose rate of INNOVA MT 065 for facilities in Assam, the membrane manufacturer's operating limits and local feed water quality should be strictly considered. All dose rate calculations should be made on the computer projection programme "e-WATER 5.0", which calculates the Ipb/Ksp ratio for calcium sulphate and other potential scaling salts specific to the Assam water table.
For Ipb/Ksp ratios < 3 the preferred product of choice is Tacelene Chem-7065; for ratios 2.8 to 7.0, INNOVA MT 065 is normally dosed at 5.0 to 25 mg/L in the concentrate, which is equivalent to 2.5 to 6 mg/L in the feed water for Assam based systems, dependent on the system recovery.
INNOVA MT 065 can be diluted with product water and should be applied continuously by means of a suitable metering pump. For the tea processing and rubber industries in Assam, continuous feed is essential since calcium sulphate is difficult to remove once precipitation has occurred in local filtration units.
INNOVA MT 065 has been developed specially as a calcium sulphate inhibitor, for waters with CaSO4 Ipb/Ksp ratio of 2.8 to 7.0. It functions by a powerful threshold mechanism of calcium carbonate, and is highly tolerant to the presence of iron.
