Innova Corporate (India) offers a high-strength, synergistic biocide blend containing glutaraldehyde (25-50%), DBNPA (10-20%), and quaternary ammonium compounds (5-10%) plus proprietary penetrants for Bawal's most challenging industrial applications – especially steel mills (cooling water), foundries, and metal finishing ETPs with severe biological fouling. Bawal's industries face high organic loads from metalworking fluids, lubricants, and coolants, leading to thick biofilms (5-10 mm) on equipment and pipelines. This biocide formulation penetrates established biofilms, breaks down EPS, and kills sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB), iron-oxidizing bacteria, and slime-forming pseudomonads that cause corrosion and biofouling. For cooling water systems in Bawal's steel re-rolling mills, severe fouling can reduce heat exchange efficiency by 30-50%. Our product provides rapid initial kill (99.9% reduction within 2 hours) followed by residual activity for up to 72 hours. Effective at high temperatures (up to 55°C/131°F) and pH 5-9. For severe cases (slime-covered cooling tower fill), we recommend a shock dose of 200-400 ppm once weekly for 4-8 weeks, then maintenance dose of 50-100 ppm continuously. Compatible with non-ionic and cationic dispersants (use with bio-dispersant). For Bawal's common effluent treatment plants (CETPs) experiencing sludge bulking, this biocide can be used cautiously. Available in 25L and 200L drums. Warning: Corrosive to skin and eyes; full PPE required. Do not mix with strong oxidizers.
Dosage in cooling water treatment programs 20 to 30 ppm for effective control of biocide activity, for cooling waters.
INNOVA BCD 417 can be fed as received or diluted with water minimum 10% concentration with any chemical feed solution. The chemical should be added to cooling tower basin (or any other point, which provides uniform mixing) addition should be made to metering pump to minimize handling.
Badly fouled systems must be cleaned before treatment to start. INITIAL DOSE - When the system is noticeably fouled, slug feed 25 to 50 ppm of INNOVA BCD 417 in the system. SUBSEQUENT DOSE - When the Microbial count is evident, slug feed 20 to 40 ppm of INNOVA BCD 417.
The best indication of the successful application of INNOVA BCD 417 is visual inspection of tower surfaces or monitoring changes in heat transfer on metal surface of process equipment.
Uses of on-site bacterial counts or microscopic examination provide relative indicators of system cleanliness and biological control. If bacteria counts are used, Note that counts may be high immediately after biocide addition. Counts will be lower as control is achieved.
INNOVA BCD 417 is available in 25Kgs, 50Kgs & 200 Kgs.
