Innova Corporate (India) offers Homopolymer Polymaleic Acid (PMA) – a high-performance scale inhibitor and dispersant for Bawal's high-temperature water systems (boilers, evaporators) and cooling towers where calcium carbonate and calcium sulfate scale are problematic. PMA has a unique combination of carboxyl and maleic groups, providing excellent thermal stability (up to 150°C/302°F) and tolerance to high calcium (up to 10,000 ppm). Unlike polyacrylates, PMA does not precipitate with calcium at high hardness – critical for Bawal's high-TDS groundwater (hardness 400-800 ppm). For Bawal's low-to-medium pressure boilers in steel mills, automotive plants, and engineering units, PMA is added at 5-20 ppm to prevent scale even at high cycles of concentration (4-6 cycles). It also acts as a dispersant for iron and silica – important for Bawal's high-iron groundwater (2-10 ppm). For cooling towers operating at high pH (8.5-9.0) with high-hardness water, PMA is more effective than standard polyacrylates. The product is supplied as a 50% active liquid (light yellow) or powder form. For reverse osmosis antiscalant blends for high-silica or high-iron feeds (common in Bawal's groundwater), PMA is a key component. For steel mill cooling towers, PMA prevents scaling on heat exchangers. Dosage: 2-10 ppm for threshold inhibition. It is biodegradable (35% in 28 days) and non-toxic.
