Innova Corporate (India) offers Mill Sanitation Di-Thio Carbamate Based biocide for sugar mills, paper mills, and starch plants – though Delhi has limited such industries (paper mills near Narela), this product is relevant for food processing and confectionery where microbial contamination causes spoilage. The active ingredient is sodium dimethyl dithiocarbamate (SDDC) or disodium ethylene bis dithiocarbamate (DEDTC), effective against bacteria, fungi, and yeast in sugar syrups, molasses, and starch slurries. For Delhi's confectionery and bakery units that use large quantities of sugar syrup (50-70 Brix), adding 10-50 ppm of this biocide to storage tanks prevents fermentation and mold growth, extending shelf life from days to months – critical for products with long distribution. For paper mills (if any), it controls slime in paper machine white water and starch kitchens. For molasses storage (if any feed stock for ethanol), it prevents gas formation. The product is food-grade (FDA approved for indirect food contact – 21 CFR 173.310) at low levels. It is supplied as a clear to pale yellow liquid (40% active) or water-soluble powder (90% active). It is non-foaming and stable over pH 6-10. For Delhi's sugar syrup clarification (for confectionery), it is sometimes used as a preservative after filtration. Dosage: 5-25 ppm for syrup storage tanks. Available in 25L, 200L drums. We provide on-site yeast and mold testing (petrifilm or agar plates) to verify efficacy. For paper mills, this biocide controls slime. Shelf life: 18 months.
