Innova Corporate (India) supplies DBNPA-based biocide (20% active liquid or solid granular) – a fast-acting, non-oxidizing antimicrobial for Ethiopia's industrial water treatment where rapid microbial control and short environmental half-life are required. DBNPA is highly effective against bacteria (including SRB), iron bacteria, slime-forming organisms, and fungi – all thrive in Ethiopia's warm cooling waters (20-35°C/68-95°F). The key advantage for industries subject to Ethiopian Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) norms is its rapid hydrolysis (4-12 hours) to non-toxic, biodegradable byproducts, making it suitable for discharge into rivers (Awash, Blue Nile, Rift Valley Lakes) after treatment. For Ethiopia's cooling towers in textile mills, tanneries, food processing plants, and beverage units, DBNPA is used as a shock biocide (once or twice weekly) at 50-100 ppm. For reverse osmosis (RO) systems in industrial parks (Hawassa, Bole Lemi, Kombolcha) and food plants, DBNPA is a membrane-compatible sanitizer (50-100 ppm for 2-4 hours). For coffee wet mills, it prevents microbial degradation in fermentation tanks and wash water systems. Non-foaming, compatible with most antiscalants except reducing agents (sodium sulfite). Available in 25L pails (liquid), 200L drums, and 20kg bags (granular). For smaller operations (small tanneries, coffee washing stations), we offer pre-measured water-soluble packets. Storage: keep below 30°C (86°F) – Ethiopia's ambient temperatures are moderate in the highlands (15-25°C/59-77°F) but warmer in the lowlands. Shelf life: 12 months (liquid), 24 months (granular). Method of Feeding :

    INNOVA BCD 416 can be fed as received or diluted with water minimum 10% concentration with any chemical feed solution. The chemical should be added to cooling tower basin (or any other point, which provides uniform mixing) addition should be made to metering pump to minimize handling.

Feed Requirements :

    Badly fouled systems must be cleaned before treatment to start. Initial Dose - When the system is noticeably fouled, slug feed 35 to 55 ppm of INNOVA BCD 416 in the system. SUBSEQUENT DOSE - When the Microbial count is evident, slug feed 25 to 50 ppm of INNOVA BCD 416.

Control Testing :

    The best indication of the successful application of INNOVA BCD 416 is visual inspection of tower surfaces or monitoring changes in heat transfer on metal surface of process equipment.

    Uses of on-site bacterial counts or microscopic examination provide relative indicators of system cleanliness and biological control. If bacteria counts are used, Note that counts may be high immediately after biocide addition. Counts will be lower as control is achieved.
