Innova Corporate (India) offers Coagulant Cationic Poly Electrolyte PE-607 – an ultra-high charge density (>9 meq/g), low molecular weight (approx. 300,000-500,000 Da) liquid coagulant for Ethiopia's difficult-to-treat industrial effluents containing colloidal silica (from groundwater in the Rift Valley), clay (from surface water during the rainy season), and organic colloids (from coffee processing, tannery soaking, and food waste). This product is particularly effective for reverse osmosis (RO) pretreatment in Ethiopia's industrial park ZLD plants (Hawassa, Bole Lemi, Kombolcha) and food processing facilities, where colloidal fouling is a major issue. During the rainy season (June-September), surface waters (Awash River, Blue Nile) carry high turbidity (200-1000 NTU) consisting of fine clay and silt particles (<1 µm) – PE-607 neutralizes these colloids, allowing them to agglomerate into filterable flocs. For coffee processing plants using RO for water reuse, this coagulant clarifies high-turbidity feed water. For textile and tannery ZLD systems, it removes colloidal silica and clay. Dosage: 20-80 ppm. Unlike aluminum or iron salts, PE-607 does not add dissolved solids (TDS) to treated water – critical for RO feed. The polymer forms pin flocs that settle quickly or can be removed by DAF. For Ethiopia's commercial buildings with RO for drinking water (Addis Ababa, Hawassa), using PE-607 as pretreatment extends membrane life. Available as a 10-15% active liquid. Dosing via electronic metering pump synchronized with influent flow. We supply jar test kits and turbidity meters (or SDI test apparatus) for Ethiopia's customers to optimize dosage. For ZLD systems in industrial parks, this coagulant is often used in pretreatment of RO feed to achieve SDI <3. Pack sizes: 25L, 200L drums, 1000L IBC.
Some of the other Ionic impurities also attach to this molecule, thereby making it more effective in creating minute particles, which are then converted into primary flocs in the subsequent processes of juice clarification and industrial liquid processing throughout Ethiopia.
The percentage decolourisation obtained depends upon the INNOVA PE 607 quantity used, upto certain limits. Under normal conditions, 10 to 20 ppm, on juice is sufficient to achieve a high degree of decolourisation. The dosing point should be into the sulphited juice entering the Dorr Clarifier or in the mixed juice tank.
Higher dilution is necessary because of the concentrated nature of INNOVA PE 607 dilution at a level of 1:20, with water, is recommended prior to its being dosed. Dosing pumps should be used for dosing the diluted product to ensure thorough and proportionate mixing. Product dilution and feeding should be done from plastic barrels only.
INNOVA PE 607 has a long shelf life; it should be stored at ambient temperature. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and food. In case of contact, immediately flush eyes or skin with large amount of water several times.
INNOVA PE 607 is available in 25Kgs & 50Kgs drum.
