Innova Corporate (India) presents a high-performance Di-Bromo Nitrilo Propioniamide (DBNPA) based Biocide, a fast-acting, non-oxidizing biocide formulated for the challenging industrial water systems of Greater Noida. Industries across Surajpur, Kasna, and Ecotech often require rapid microbial control in situations such as cooling tower startup after shutdown, severe biological fouling episodes, and membrane system disinfection. DBNPA is a broad-spectrum biocide that provides rapid kill within minutes to hours and then quickly degrades into harmless byproducts, making it ideal for once-through systems and environmentally sensitive discharges under UPPCB regulations. Our DBNPA-based biocide is effective against bacteria (including Legionella, E. coli, Pseudomonas), fungi, yeasts, and algae. The mechanism of action involves reaction with thiol groups in essential microbial enzymes, disrupting cellular metabolism and causing rapid cell death. Unlike many biocides that require hours for effectiveness, DBNPA achieves 99.9% kill within 2-4 hours of dosing. The product then degrades via hydrolysis to non-toxic amides and bromides, with a typical half-life of 4-12 hours depending on pH and temperature. This makes our DBNPA biocide particularly suitable for Greater Noida's industries with strict UPPCB discharge norms - no special neutralization or removal is required before discharge. Key applications include cooling water systems (shock treatment), RO membrane preservation (short-term storage), pharmaceutical water system disinfection, automobile paint shop water treatment, and ETP disinfection. The product is liquid and easy to dose, with typical shock dosage of 50-200 ppm for 2-6 hours of contact time. It is compatible with most water treatment chemicals except strong reducing agents. Important considerations: DBNPA is pH sensitive (most effective below pH 8.5) and temperature sensitive (faster degradation above 40°C). By using DBNPA-based biocide, Greater Noida industries can achieve rapid microbial control (within hours), minimal downtime for treatment, no residual toxicity concerns for discharge, compatibility with sensitive membrane systems, and effective control of Legionella in cooling towers.
Dosage in cooling water treatment programs is 25 to 35 ppm for effective control of biocide activity for cooling waters across Greater-noida.
INNOVA BCD 416 can be fed as received or diluted with water minimum 10% concentration with any chemical feed solution. The chemical should be added to cooling tower basin (or any other point, which provides uniform mixing) addition should be made to metering pump to minimize handling.
Badly fouled systems must be cleaned before treatment to start. Initial Dose - When the system is noticeably fouled, slug feed 35 to 55 ppm of INNOVA BCD 416 in the system. SUBSEQUENT DOSE - When the Microbial count is evident, slug feed 25 to 50 ppm of INNOVA BCD 416.
The best indication of the successful application of INNOVA BCD 416 is visual inspection of tower surfaces or monitoring changes in heat transfer on metal surface of process equipment.
Uses of on-site bacterial counts or microscopic examination provide relative indicators of system cleanliness and biological control. If bacteria counts are used, Note that counts may be high immediately after biocide addition. Counts will be lower as control is achieved.
INNOVA BCD 416 is available in 25Kgs, 50Kgs & 200 Kgs.
