Antiscalant For High Silica Water (INNOVA MT 066) in Gujarat

Innova Corporate (India) offers a specialized Antiscalant for High Silica Water, formulated to address the unique water chemistry challenges of Gujarat's industrial sector. Silica is a major problem in many parts of Gujarat - from groundwater in North Gujarat (Mehsana, Banaskantha, Patan) with silica levels of 30-80 ppm, to industrial recycle loops in chemical and textile clusters where silica concentrates to 100-300 ppm in ZLD systems. Silica scaling is one of the most difficult problems in reverse osmosis (RO) systems, cooling towers, high-pressure boilers, and zero liquid discharge (ZLD) evaporators because silica scales are extremely hard, glass-like, and resistant to conventional acid cleaning. Once deposited, silica scale can only be removed using hazardous chemicals like hydrofluoric acid, making prevention critical - especially in Gujarat where GPCB mandates ZLD for many industries. Our High Silica Antiscalant is a proprietary polymer-based formulation that works by adsorbing on silica particle surfaces and preventing their aggregation and polymerization. It effectively controls amorphous silica, magnesium silicate, and calcium silicate scales even at silica concentrations up to 300 ppm and pH levels between 6.5-8.5. The product demonstrates excellent performance in RO membrane systems, cooling water circuits, and ZLD evaporators used by Gujarat's chemical plants (Ankleshwar, Vapi), pharmaceutical units, textile mills (Surat), refineries, and power plants. It is particularly valuable for zero liquid discharge (ZLD) facilities where silica concentration can concentrate to very high levels in reject streams, evaporators, and crystallizers. Our antiscalant is non-toxic, biodegradable, and compatible with all major RO membrane types including polyamide thin-film composite and cellulose acetate. It also exhibits excellent dispersant properties for iron oxides, clay, and suspended solids - critical for Gujarat's variable water quality. By using our High Silica Antiscalant, Gujarat industries can achieve up to 40% longer RO membrane life, reduce cleaning frequency by 50-60%, maintain stable permeate flow, improve ZLD evaporator run times (reducing downtime by 50%), and reduce chemical cleaning costs significantly. This product helps facilities comply with GPCB and ZLD requirements while maximizing water recovery - critical in water-stressed Gujarat.

Our advanced INNOVA MT 066 technology is designed to extend membrane longevity for Gujarat based industries, ensuring uninterrupted operation even when dealing with the fluctuating feed water quality typical of the region. This high-performance antiscalant reduces the need for frequent chemical cleanings and lowers operational risks, making it an essential solution for rubber smokehouses and tea processing machinery in Gujarat requiring high-silica protection in their industrial water treatment plants.

Treatment & Dosage Requirements in Gujarat :

In calculating the dose rate of Tacelene Chem-7066 for industrial units in Gujarat, the membrane manufacturer's operating limits and local feed water quality should be strictly considered. All dose rate calculations for the city's water systems should be made on the computer projection programme "e-WATER 5.0", which calculates the SCR for Silica based on regional mineral profiles.

Generally recommended dosage for Gujarat facilities is 1 ppm in the feed water for every 6 to 7ppm of total silica in the feed water, depending on the operating pH and temperature of the local processing environment.

At 25°C, pH 7 to 7.5 with 240mg/l silica in the concentrate, Tacelene Chem-7066 is normally dosed at 5.0 to 10 mg/L. For operations within Gujarat, Tacelene chem.-7066 can be diluted with product water and should be applied continuously by means of a suitable metering pump. Continuous feed and correct levels are essential for the capital city's machinery, since silica fouled membranes are difficult to clean.

When both dissolved and colloidal silica is present in the Gujarat water supply, silica fouling can be difficult to predict because of the complexity of the silica reaction chemistry.

Preventing the formation of substrate material like insoluble calcium and iron salts is required in eliminating silica fouling for local tea and rubber industries. We recommend very effective auto flushing devices to be applied with the high silica waters typically found across Gujarat.

Principle Uses

Tacelene chem.-7066 has been developed specially as a SILICA inhibitor, for waters with SCR <1.3 to 4.2 mg/l.

For Ipb/Ksp ratios < 3 the preffered product of choice is Tacelene Chem-7065; for ratios 2.8 to 7.0, INNOVA MT 065 is normally dosed at 5.0 to 25 mg/L in the concentrate, which is equivalent to 2.5 to 6 mg/L in the feed water, dependent on the system recovery.

INNOVA MT 065 can be diluted with product water and should be applied continuously by means of a suitable metering pump. Continuous feed is essential since calcium sulphate is difficult to remove once precipitation has occurred.

Handling:

Do not store the material in open, store in cool dark place away from direct sunlight. Keep the container tightly closed when not in use. This product exhibits very low order of oral toxicity. No special care is required in handling this product.

Avoid contacts with eyes, skin and food. In case of contact, immediately flush eyes or skin with large amount of water several times. If swallowed drink large amount of water or milk and get medical attention immediately. Do not re-use the empty container, destroy it.
