Biocides TBTOB Based (INNOVA BCD 503) in Gurugram

Innova Corporate (India) provides a specialized TBTOB based Biocide (Tetrabutyl Thiuram Disulfide), a powerful non-oxidizing biocide and fungicide engineered for the most challenging industrial applications in Gurugram. TBTOB is particularly valued in industries where persistent fungal problems and biocide-resistant microbial populations are an issue - common in Gurugram's pharmaceutical units, food processing plants, data centers (cooling towers), and automobile plants. Facilities across Udyog Vihar, Manesar, Sector 37, and Dundahera benefit from our TBTOB biocide. The product is a thiuram derivative that works by inhibiting key enzymes involved in cellular respiration, specifically blocking the sulfhydryl groups essential for enzyme function. This multi-site mechanism of action makes TBTOB effective against biocide-resistant bacterial strains (including strains resistant to glutaraldehyde, quats, and isothiazolinones) and provides exceptional control of fungi and yeasts - critical for pharmaceutical and food industries where fungal contamination is a major concern and for data centers where fungal growth in cooling towers can cause system inefficiency. Key applications include cooling water systems with severe fungal contamination (common in data centers and automobile plants), pharmaceutical purified water loops (fungal control for GMP compliance), food processing sanitation (anti-fungal treatment), automobile plant cooling systems (biofilm and fungal control), and industrial preservation of water-based products. Our TBTOB based biocide offers excellent stability at high temperatures (up to 90°C) and remains effective across a broad pH range (4-10). It provides long-lasting residual activity (5-10 days), making it ideal for batch processes and systems with long retention times. The product is typically applied at 50-200 ppm as a shock dose (every 5-10 days) or 10-30 ppm for continuous treatment. It is compatible with most non-ionic and anionic surfactants and works synergistically with other biocides including glutaraldehyde, DBNPA, and isothiazolinones. Important handling considerations: TBTOB has low water solubility and should be emulsified properly before dosing - our technical team provides mixing guidance. The product is a skin sensitizer - appropriate PPE (gloves, goggles, protective clothing) must be used. Environmental note: TBTOB is moderately persistent and should be used in closed systems with controlled discharge - comply with HSPCB limits and water recycling/ZLD requirements. By using our TBTOB biocide, Gurugram industries can achieve effective control of fungal problems that other biocides cannot resolve (90-99% fungal reduction), long-lasting residual protection (5-10 days between treatments), good thermal stability for high-temperature applications (up to 90°C), broad-spectrum efficacy including biocide-resistant strains, and improved product quality in pharmaceutical, food, and data center operations.

Advantages:

  • INNOVA BCD 503 is a good algaecide.
  • INNOVA BCD 503 can be considered more as Bacteriostat than a bacteriacide and is more effective against gram-positive bacteria, rather than gram negative.

Dosage :

Dosage in cooling water treatment programs 40 to 100 ppm for effective control of biocide activity, for cooling waters.

Method of Feeding :

INNOVA BCD 503 can be fed as received or diluted with water minimum 10% concentration with any chemical feed solution. The chemical should be added to cooling tower basin (or any other point, which provides uniform mixing) addition should be made to metering pump to minimize handling.

Feed Requirements :

Badly fouled systems must be cleaned before treatment to start. INITIAL DOSE - When the system is noticeably fouled, slug feed 75 to 150 ppm of INNOVA BCD 503 in the system. SUBSEQUENT DOSE - When the Microbial count is evident, slug feed 50 to 100 ppm of INNOVA BCD 503.

Control Testing :

The best indication of the successful application of INNOVA BCD 503 is visual inspection of tower surfaces or monitoring changes in heat transfer on metal surface of process equipment.

Uses of on-site bacterial counts or microscopic examination provide relative indicators of system cleanliness and biological control. If bacteria counts are used, Note that counts may be high immediately after biocide addition. Counts will be lower as control is achieved.

Packing :

    INNOVA BCD 503 is available in 25Kgs, 50Kgs & 200 Kgs.
