Innova Corporate (India) introduces our specialized Antiscalant for High Sulphate Water, engineered for the demanding industrial conditions of Haridwar. Industrial zones in SIDCUL, Ranipur, and BHEL may encounter sulfate levels (100-300 ppm as SO₄²⁻) from groundwater sources, industrial discharge, or chemical processing areas. High sulfate water leads to formation of calcium sulfate (gypsum) scale, which is notoriously difficult to control because it forms at lower temperatures than calcium carbonate, is less responsive to conventional acid treatment, and is extremely tenacious on RO membranes and heat exchangers. Our High Sulfate Antiscalant is a proprietary polymer-phosphonate blend with sulfonated copolymers specifically designed to prevent calcium sulfate, barium sulfate, and strontium sulfate scales. The product works through crystal modification and threshold inhibition, effectively keeping sulfate scales in solution even at concentration factors of 4-6 in RO systems. It is highly effective in cooling towers, boiler feed water, reverse osmosis systems, and ZLD evaporators serving Haridwar's heavy engineering (BHEL), pharmaceutical units, paper mills, and FMCG industries. Our antiscalant demonstrates exceptional performance in high TDS (up to 10,000 ppm) and high pH (up to 8.5) conditions - relevant for ZLD applications. It is liquid, easy to dose at 3-8 ppm, and maintains effectiveness at temperatures up to 95°C. The product is compatible with all major RO membrane types and works synergistically with corrosion inhibitors and dispersants. By using our High Sulfate Antiscalant, Haridwar facilities can achieve reduced scaling frequency, 25-35% longer equipment run times, lower chemical cleaning costs, improved water recovery rates (up to 85-90% in RO systems), and compliance with UKPCB and Namami Gange standards.
In calculating the dose rate of INNOVA MT 065 for facilities in Haridwar, the membrane manufacturer's operating limits and local feed water quality should be strictly considered. All dose rate calculations should be made on the computer projection programme "e-WATER 5.0", which calculates the Ipb/Ksp ratio for calcium sulphate and other potential scaling salts specific to the Haridwar water table.
For Ipb/Ksp ratios < 3 the preferred product of choice is Tacelene Chem-7065; for ratios 2.8 to 7.0, INNOVA MT 065 is normally dosed at 5.0 to 25 mg/L in the concentrate, which is equivalent to 2.5 to 6 mg/L in the feed water for Haridwar based systems, dependent on the system recovery.
INNOVA MT 065 can be diluted with product water and should be applied continuously by means of a suitable metering pump. For the tea processing and rubber industries in Haridwar, continuous feed is essential since calcium sulphate is difficult to remove once precipitation has occurred in local filtration units.
INNOVA MT 065 has been developed specially as a calcium sulphate inhibitor, for waters with CaSO4 Ipb/Ksp ratio of 2.8 to 7.0. It functions by a powerful threshold mechanism of calcium carbonate, and is highly tolerant to the presence of iron.
