Innova Corporate (India) offers Membrane Cleaning Chemical Innova MT-205, an alkaline membrane cleaner for removing organic fouling, biofilms, colloidal fouling, and oil/grease from RO, NF, UF, and MF membranes across New Delhi. Industries in Okhla, Patparganj, Bawana, and Mayapuri operating RO plants face organic and biological fouling from pharmaceutical effluents (APIs, solvents), food processing waste, and bacterial slime. MT-205 is a blend of alkaline builders (sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide), chelating agents (EDTA, NTA), and membrane-compatible surfactants with pH 11-12. It effectively removes organic compounds, biofilms, colloidal silica, oil and grease, and metal hydroxides. Key features include low foaming (for membrane cleaning), effective at low temperatures (25-40°C), compatible with all membrane types, and contains membrane preservatives and biocidal components. Typical cleaning involves recirculation for 30-60 minutes followed by soaking for 60-180 minutes. By using MT-205, New Delhi industries achieve restoration of membrane performance (15-30% improved flow, 10-20% reduced pressure drop), extended membrane life (1-2 years longer), reduced cleaning frequency (from weekly to monthly), and lower operating costs.
In the industrial environments of New-delhi, deposits build upon the membrane until they cause a reduction in normalized permeate flow and losses in salt rejection. These effects can lead to poor water quality, production losses, and unscheduled downtime.
Implementing a regular maintenance program in New-delhi facilities provides a significant return on investment by extending system run time and preventing membrane degradation. When INNOVA MT 205 is used in conjunction with local microbial control agents, it is also highly effective against biofilm. This product should always be used as recommended by the membrane manufacturer with respect to pH and temperature to ensure optimal results across New-delhi.
Suitable for use with polyamide thin film composite and cellulose acetate membranes.
Effective removal of organic matter.
High level of active substance
Liquid product, easy to handle and simple to apply.
INNOVA MT 205 cleaning solutions are made up at 1.0% to 2.0% by volume with chlorine free product water and NaOH addition to give a pH of 10.5 to 11.5. It is recommended that warm cleaning solutions be use within the limits imposed by the membrane manufacturers. The duration of the cleaning cycle depends on the quantity and nature of the fouling.
Although a cleaning period of 2 to 4 hours may be typical, and extended overnight soaking period may be necessary in the case of heavy fouling. Short periods of recirculation and soaking (15 minute change over) are considered good practice for heavily fouled membranes.
